Obituary of Marie B. Gleason

Marie Barbara Gleason passed away on April 6, 2024, after a brief illness. Marie is survived by her three children, Thomas and his wife Cathrine, Laura and her husband Gale, and Patrick and his wife Margarita. There are also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and

nieces.

Marie was born on May 10th, 1930 in Poughkeepsie to Frank and Mary Rushano. She grew up with her three brothers Louis, Martin, and Frank. Marie’s parents and brother Louis predeceased her.

On May 14th, 1950 she married Thomas Gleason Jr. at Saint Peter’s Church in Poughkeepsie.

He predeceased her in 2015.

Marie worked for many years at Thomas Gleason Inc. with her husband Tom as the bookkeeper as well as raising their children. Marie was very active in the church with different activities with the last being involved in the

food pantry at Holy Trinity Church.

Visiting hours will be at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home at 371 Hooker Ave on Thursday, April 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church on Friday, April 12th at 10. am

Marie’s family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Holy Trinity Parish food pantry at Holy Trinity Church.
